Maine Roller Derby’s Skatecationland tournament returns for a second year
Portland, Maine – March 14, 2025 – Maine Roller Derby (MRD) will host its second international tournament on June 14-15, 2025 at Happy Wheels in Westbrook, Maine. The tournament, called Skatecationland: the way derby should be, features the Muddy River Rollers from Moncton, NB, Lehigh Valley Roller Derby out of Bethlehem, PA, and Boston Roller Derby from Boston, MA facing off against MRD’s All-Star Travel Team. The sanctioned games will affect MRD’s 50th place ranking in the Women’s Flat Track Derby Association’s Northeast region.
“Maine Roller Derby is so excited to host the second annual Skatecationland Roller Derby tournament,” said tournament director, Rachel “Cinderellbows” Casey. “Come see derby the way it should be: highly skilled, dynamic competition in a fun and celebratory atmosphere.”
Derby fans can expect two days packed with roller derby action on June 14-15 at Happy Wheels. Three games and one scrimmage will take place each day at 10:00 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m., and 4:30 p.m.. Schedule and times are subject to change.
