Maine Roller Derby Presents Wicked vs Good at Happy Wheels
Westbrook, Maine – October 13, 2023 – Maine Roller Derby (MRD), the state’s longest-running and largest roller derby league, is thrilled to announce their upcoming “Wicked vs Good” Bout, at Happy Wheels on October 21, 2023, at 5:00 PM. This family-friendly event promises to deliver high-octane action and thrilling competition for roller derby enthusiasts and newcomers alike. For this year’s theme, Maine Roller Derby chose Seagulls vs. French Fries. MRD’s normal Home Teams, the Ship Wreckers and the R.I.P. Tides, will be mixed up for this bout and, for one night only, play each other as Team Seagull vs. Team French Fry.
“Maine Roller Derby is excited to bring ‘Wicked vs Good’ back for the first time since 2019 to Happy Wheels,” said Cátia Cunha, also known as Sticky Situation, a spokesperson for the league. “This bout will showcase the incredible athleticism, teamwork, and spirit of our athletes while providing a fun and entertaining experience for the whole family. I can’t wait to see the costumes this year’s theme inspires.”
Team Seagull and Team French Fry are set to unite in an electrifying roller derby showdown known as “Wicked vs Good.” This fan-favorite event will see both teams going head-to-head on the track while embracing a theme, promising an unforgettable evening of action-packed entertainment that’s as fun as it is thrilling. In addition to the roller derby action, the event will offer a family-friendly atmosphere with food and beverage options, merchandise, and opportunities to meet the athletes.
