Thanks-for-Giving Bout 2018!
Maine Roller Derby held the 2018 Thanks-for-Giving bout on November 17, and with the help of generous fans, raised $914.40 to support the work of the Maine Coalition Against Sexual Assault!
This year, the Thanks-for-Giving bout featured Team Teal, sponsored by Action Computer Services versus Team Red, sponsored by Tricia Jamiol Photography. The teams featured mixed rosters comprised of home team and travel team skaters. The Thanks-for-Giving bout is a favorite MRD event among both skaters and fans alike. This special event allows fans to buy tickets which can be exchanged for special actions: including adding points to a team’s score, sending a play to the penalty box, group hugs or dance parties, or a jam played in the opposite direction!
Maine Roller Derby owes tremendous thanks to all who came out to enjoy the game and support a great cause!
