SKATE NIGHTS – JUNE 18 & 23, 2025, 6:30 PM @ PORTLAND EXPO
Portland Expo: 239 Park Avenue, Portland, ME
Meet skaters and officials, learn about Maine Roller Derby, ask questions, and watch a scrimmage! You can also lace up to get a feel for what skating in derby gear is like! ($5 fee for those skating and you must have all gear: skates, helmet, elbow pads, wrist guards, knee pads, mouth guard-no exceptions.)
TRYOUTS – JUNE 25, 2025, 6:30 PM @ PORTLAND EXPO

Basic Skating Skills:
- Must be able to stride while you skate (pick up each foot)
- Demonstrate balance control (steady on your feet)
- Must be able to propel yourself forward, with bonus points for being able to do cross overs
- Must be able to stop. Plow stops are a plus!
